Frank Vogel explained why he would like his team to spend more time in practice this season as every NBA team has a limited amount of them since the start of the season.
Several coaches talked about the issue that does not help the teams perform in the best way possible. The lack of practices is a testimony to the suppressed season schedule and the health and safety protocols amid the pandemic.

“I think the execution suffers when you can’t get reps in to work on your habits,” Vogel said. “I’ve felt that with our team, but it’s just the nature of what the whole league is going through right now.”
“We’ve got to do the best we can to mentally improve in the film room every day, but certainly I would welcome more opportunities to be on the floor with our guys,” Vogel continued.
The Lakers had little time to prepare after winning the 2020 NBA title in the Orlando ‘bubble’. They started the new season campaign just nearly two months after winning the 2020 championship.
Regardless of the tough situation, the Lakers are still the top team of the West despite the injury of Anthony Davis, who is still out with a right calf strain.
