Indiana Pacers guard Caris LeVert will miss tonight’s Play-In Tournament game vs. the Charlotte Hornets due to health and safety protocols, according to Shams Charania.
If the Pacers advance in the Play-In Tournament, LeVert is expected to be sidelined for multiple games.
LeVert’s expected timetable in the health and safety protocols is 10-14 days.
The 26-year-old has been playing at a high level lately, averaging 24.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 7.4 assists over his last 10 games.
During the regular season, a 10-14 day timeline for players was usually associated with a positive COVID-19 test.
This is a huge loss for a team that has dealt with injuries to several key players throughout the season.
Currently, Domantas Sabonis, Aaron Holiday and Edmond Sumner are all listed as questionable for tonight’s game, while Malcolm Brogdon is a game-time decision.
Sabonis is dealing with a bruised left quadriceps, while Brogdon hasn’t played since April 29 due to a sore right hamstring.
