WWE hasn’t held an NXT house show in Florida since last March, but that will change next month.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that NXT talent has been told that they will start running house shows in Florida starting in July.
Currently, the idea is to run in the usual 200 to 400 seat buildings they were running in before the COVID-19. This was in the central and northern parts of Florida.
Meltzer added, “the belief is that talent will be asked to get vaccinated as something mandatory because they are going to be running in some rural heavy right-wing markets and the feeling is with that fan base they wouldn’t be able to enforce a mask ordinance.”
WWE has already confirmed the main roster – Raw and SmackDown – will resume touring on July 16th where they will do a 25-city tour. As part of this tour, there will be some house shows in addition to TV and PPV events. All Elite Wrestling has also confirmed its plans to resume touring on July 7th.
