World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has been in the shape of his life this season. No one has stopped him at Grand Slam events, and he has won the top three this season. Furthermore, he has also surpassed his arch rival Roger Federer by taking first place in the rankings for the most weeks.

Recently, Novak Djokovic was seen in New York. He has just arrived in town as the 2021 US Open will soon begin the following week. When he arrived, they saw him on the practice fields. He was wearing a red t-shirt along with a pair of white shorts.

In the clip, Djokovic can be seen engaging in a fierce right-hand ball-hitting crossover exercise. The pace at which he hit the ball seemed very fast compared to a normal rally exchange. Reflecting on Novak’s season, he won the Australian Open, beating Daniil Medvedev in the final.

In Paris, he defeated Rafael Nadal in the semifinal and won the title. In the final, he lost two sets and finally fought back to win the title against Stefanos Tsitsipas. After that, he was seen at the Wimbledon Championships.

There, he won his sixth title by beating Italian Matteo Berrettini in the final. In doing so, he has now tied Federer and Nadal for 20 Grand Slam titles. He has won all three Grand Slam events so far. The way he has been playing on the biggest stage may consider him the favorite to win the last Grand Slam event of the season, the US Open 2021.

We wish him the best for the upcoming matches.

Rusedski speaks about Novak Djokovic

Greg Rusedski, a former top-five player and US Open finalist, believes Novak Djokovic will go on to win at least five more Majors in his career, thereby becoming the all-time Grand Slam record-holder among men and women.

“I think he will get 25 and become the all-time Slam winner on the men’s and women’s tours, with Margaret Court’s record standing at 24,” Rusedski said in an interview to Tennis365. “While the GOAT debate will always go on, he will have no questions to answer if he gets five and more ahead of Federer and Nadal.

It’s hard to argue against the guy who has done a Calendar Slam and has 25 Grand Slams. Knowing how Novak Djokovic works, he will want to put distance between himself and the other two guys and he wants to end the debate,” Rusedski added.
