Daniel Jarvis, a British prankster who goes by the name ‘Jarvo 69’ on social media and invaded the pitch in the second and third Test matches of the ongoing series between England and India, has been arrested on suspicion of assault after yet another intrusion in the fourth Test at The Oval.
It was in the Lord’s Test that Jarvo 69 made an appearance on the field for the first time after fooling the ground security staff. He was wearing a replica of the Indian Test match jersey and tried to blend in with the fielders. He was escorted off the field as soon as he was noticed but he had made it to the center of the field by then.
He tried to enter the field once again at Headingley but this time as a batsman. ‘Jarvo 69’ was wearing entire batting gear and made it to center of the field once again. The security noticed and forcibly dragged him out of the ground. Following the incident, he was also banned from entering the ground for life.
These two incidents helped him in getting a lot of attention on social media. Some called it funny whereas some others called it a total security failure and criticized him a lot. Just when it seemed like the Headingley incident would be the last of such acts by Jarvo, he took it one step above in the next match at The Oval
Jarvo 69 bumped into Jonny Bairstow while rushing towards the Pitch at The Oval
Jarvo ran into the field with a ball in hand this time, wearing the familiar Indian jersey replica. He ran in and completed a delivery stride at the bowling end as well and in the process bumped heavily into England’s wicket keeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow.

Bairstow was totally shocked to experience that sudden push from behind and wasn’t happy at all to see the prankster doing the same thing again.
While many people thought his acts to be funny during the first two incidents, Jarvo got little support this time, and deservedly so. He was called out on social media for such an irresponsible act.
Moreover, as reported by various English journalists on Twitter, Jarvo 69 has been arrested on suspicion of assault and put into custody as well.

As far as the match goes, England gained a healthy 99-run lead riding on Ollie Pope’s 91 and lower-order batsman Chris Woakes’ fifty. India have made a steady start as well. They were 33/0 at the moment this article was published.
