In the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Rajasthan Royals (RR) will start their journey against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 29 at the MCA Stadium in Pune. Ahead of their opening fixture, the Royals have already assembled their camp in Mumbai, and players are joining the squad as their first match is approaching.

England wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler also joined the Royals camp and was greeted by a funny tweet posted on the franchise’s official Twitter account, which was recently ‘hacked’ by spin sensation Yuzvendra Chahal.

Chahal seemingly got the admin password from RR CEO Jake McCrum and went on a spree posting hilarious messages, including naming himself the captain of the RR for IPL 2022. However, one of the most eye-catching tweets from the account came when Chahal posted a photo of him batting and asked the fans if the tweet got more than 10,000 retweets, the leg-spinner will open the innings for RR with Buttler.

As soon as Buttler arrived to join the RR franchise, he saw that tweet and gave an ultimate reaction. The English superstar didn’t say anything but shook his head in ‘disbelief’.

Notably, Buttler was among the three players retained by the Rajasthan franchise ahead of the IPL 2022 auctions. Along with Buttler (INR 10 crore), captain Sanju Samson (INR 14 crore) and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (INR 4 crore) were retained by RR.

Among the new recruitees, RR bought the likes of Chahal (INR 6.50 crore), Trent Boult (INR 8 crore), Devdutt Padikkal (INR 7.75 crore), Ravichandran Ashwin (INR 5 crore), Prasidh Krishna (INR 10 crore), and Shimron Hetmyer (INR 8.50 crore).
