The argument is essentially that new people will know who the player is because their name is on the jersey which is pretty insulting in ways.
I don’t really care either way to be honest.
But the opposite of inclusivity is exclusivity and I fail to see how jerseys WITHOUT names on them are in any way exclusive.
You could easily argue the opposite frankly. Look at how Ronaldo has sewn up the number 7 jerseys in all his clubs and the CR7 brand.
