The Nationwide Insurance coverage Scheme (NIS) is urging pensioners who have already got financial institution and credit score union accounts to make the swap from cheques to lodgement and achieve speedy entry to their monies.
An announcement from NIS in the present day mentioned pensioners are paid “each 4 weeks, not month-to-month”.
The funds are issued for 13 four-week intervals every year for these paid by lodgement to banks and credit score unions, or 26 two-week intervals for these receiving cheques via the mail.
The NIS mentioned there is no such thing as a penalty for switching.
For queries, name the PBX at 431-7400, the Contact Centre at 467-4647 or e-mail the NIS at [email protected] For additional particulars, please go to its official web site at www.nis.gov.bb. (PR)
